Fitness for the In-Water Programme

Snorkelling with the sperm whales isn't mandatory, but anyone who wants to take part should meet these points:

• Be able to swim 100 metres with fins, mask and snorkel
• Be able to pull yourself out of the water up a boat ladder unassisted
• Please tell our on-board doctor about any health conditions in advance

What to Bring — and What We Provide

Mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit are included in the trip price. There's room on board for your own gear, if you're used to it.

For photographers: on deck, mid-range telephoto lenses suit surface shots; underwater, even compact lenses up to about 30mm are enough. Bring a waterproof housing for your own camera if you can.
